Sunday 2/15/09

Advocare Thermoplus and MNS Max Energy - big difference from Max3. I don't recommend taking Max Energy and then having to sit still in church for several hours...

No running today. Taking a break from impact on the joints. Stayed busy in the yard most the afternoon while the baby slept. After she woke up, we took the bikes out for a 5 mile ride. I wish we could have gone further, but baby is hard to keep entertained in a baby bike seat...


I saw a guy at the Trace this week that had a great idea. He parked his bike at the Jackson Road station, drove back to the Southern Miss gateway station, ran to his bike, then rode his bike back to USM to his truck. This is 4.1 miles one way. This is going to be my goal for the end of this week. Hopefully Saturday I'll be able to achieve this "mini" goal.

  1. Cycling is a great way to exercise. You've got the fancy new bikes, but what about the HELMETS??? Anything can happen on a bike and it happens too fast to be reaching for a helmet then. Beks NEEDS a helmet for safety, and you need a helmet to set a good example. Plus helmets will make you more visible, and they will make you look more like serious cyclists than amateurs. Safety first. Keep up the effort, you inspire us all!
